What is it for?

A real check instead of a reaction: new members type a code from an image, solve a small math task or pick the right code. Only then do they get the verified role and see your channels, so bots and raid accounts stay out.

Set it up in 3 steps

01Switch it on, pick the channel for the panel and the role verified members get. Give that role access to your channels and place AgencyMod's role above it.
02Choose the method and difficulty, how many attempts are allowed and what happens after too many wrong answers. The preview shows a sample task with your settings.
03If you like, set a minimum account age and a time limit, then save. The panel appears in the channel, and new members start the check with the button or with /verify.

TipAdding verification to an existing server? Use “Unlock existing members” to give all current members the verified role at once, so nobody loses access.

Switched on and off with the switch at the top of the tab.

Panel

Channel: The verification panel with its button is posted here, usually the only channel new members can see.
Panel title: Empty means "Verification".
Panel text: Empty uses a short standard text. Placeholders: {server}, {count}.
Color: Empty uses the color of your server.

Roles

Verified role: Members get this role after passing the check. Give this role access to your channels. My role has to be above it.
Role until verified: Optional. New members get this role on joining, and it is removed once they are verified.

Method

Method: How the check works. Every task is a freshly drawn image, the answer stays with the bot.
Difficulty: Longer codes, harder math and more distortion make it harder for bots, but also a bit harder for people.
Attempts: Wrong answers allowed before the step below applies.

Wrong answers

After too many wrong answers
Wait time in minutes: How long someone has to wait before trying again. With timeout it is also the length of the timeout.

New accounts and deadline

Minimum account age in days: 0 means no limit. Very new accounts are a common sign of raids and spam accounts.
If the account is too new
Deadline in minutes: 0 means no deadline. Otherwise, members who have not verified by then are removed from the server.
Accept the rules first: Members must accept the rules before the check. If the Rules module is on, they get a link to them.

Log

Log channel: Successes, failures, accounts that are too new and removals. Empty uses the general log channel.
